Giving J-Spliffs new album (mentioned earlier) a spin.
My man J-Spliff is dropping a new album called The Electric on monday under his alias Cliff Uwey on Graven Records. Can’t wait to check it out.
Last time I saw him doing his thing he warmed up for Action Bronson about 6 weeks ago, where I took this shot of him. I must say I was impressed with how he handled the mic, stage and crowd. He impressed me when he came out of Svendborg with Smoke Squad 11 years ago, and it’s great to see he is still upping the stakes.
Yes! Black Sheep is coming around my way at the end of May, and I’ll finally get the chance to catch Dres live. A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing is on my all time top 10.
Give the Similak Child video a spin, it’s still fresh!

Action Bronson was in town last weekend and performed at a jam in Christiania at the Loppen Venue. The show was less than half an hour, but he delivered his shit perfectly and seemed happy from the energy he received from the crowd. More flix here shot for rapspot (images used for this review in Danish)

“Hip Hop My Friend” by Pep Love.
New track + new album on the way.
I managed to go through and select some of my favorite tracks released in 2011 and compile them into my 3. round of the 20minutemix series. I didn’t find the time last year but in 2009 & 2008 I did an hour long round up. The 2011 Hiphop Selection features tracks from Freddie Gibbs, Stalley, Asher Roth (w. Action Bronson), Pac Div, STS, ASAP Rocky and more. Check it out and let me know what you think!
